Co-director and owner of Traders in Purple, Charles has over 20 years’ experience across the design and delivery of complex projects within multiple sectors of the construction industry.

A qualified engineer and builder, his skill for project management has been one of the foundations of Traders in Purple success.

Charles has a passion for improving the lives of people in the communities in which he works and is a strong advocate for increased social and affordable housing. Leading the Traders in Purple pro bono initiatives, he believes strongly in a social and economic success of every community and supports the local employment for each Traders in Purple project. He is also a thought-leader and innovator within the private sector of the industry.

A renowned and respected property professional, Brett has over 30 years’ experience in delivering premium residential projects with Mirvac, Lendlease and other international property groups. Brett’s expertise lies in the management and delivery of large scale and complex masterplanned projects involving multiple levels of stakeholders including government, community groups and investors. Delivering projects throughout Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, Brett understands the nuances of working with all tiers of government to achieve the best outcomes for the community across owner occupier apartments and mixed-use community projects.

Brett leads the team at Traders in Purple and has responsibility for the management of the business and development of strategy, bringing together modern and efficient delivery methods as well as the critical thinking needed to create vibrant communities.

Garnering over 20 years of experience in the property development industry, Gerald expertly supports Traders as our Chief Financial Officer. Providing strategic commercial and financial advice across our portfolio – his extensive knowledge in analysis and reporting with a sharp financial and commercial focus, includes advice on project acquisitions and disposal deal structuring.

Before joining Traders In Purple, Gerald was the Financial Controller at Destination Brisbane Consortium, delivering the $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf development in the Brisbane CBD. His previous work spanning 15 years at Mirvac in various financial roles includes – Mirvac Residential National Financial Controller and Regional Financial Controller with Mirvac hotels.

While Gerald commenced his career in audit and assurance services with KPMG, he also holds a Bachelor of Commerce, qualified as a Chartered Accountant and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance (Kaplan).

Simon’s passion for the property industry is reflected in his 20 years of experience covering multiple portfolio’s nationally across residential, retail, mixed-use, industrial and commercial asset classes.

His involvement spanning multifaceted projects is refined and crafted from experience with previous leading Australian and global property groups. Equipped with a wealth of knowledge ranging from identifying and understanding the dynamic requirements of partners, transaction structuring, due diligence, town planning, and obtaining approvals,. Simon is a valuable member of the development team as the Partnership and Acquisitions Director.

Strongly dedicated to improving project outcomes across all property sectors, Simon has a unique skill set evolving from partnerships with governments, not-for-profit organisations including registered clubs, Church groups and institutional and private landowners. His perseverance in providing quality outcomes for all stakeholders emulates the Traders In Purple ethos of honesty, transparency and long-lasting partnerships.

With over 25 years’ experience in the Australian property market, Jennifer has built a vast portfolio of projects across development. Working for some of Australia’s most prominent and respected businesses, including Mirvac, Lendlease and Stockland, Jennifer has earned a reputation for executing successful and extensive multi-stakeholder projects across government, local councils, planning bodies, joint ventures and partners.

As a highly collaborative and skilled professional, Jennifer’s expertise across mixed use projects, apartments and sensitive urban regeneration precincts, has given her a passion for reshaping our cities and communities. Bringing to Traders In Purple her unrivalled and extensive experience and local knowledge of Tasmania, Jennifer leads our Tasmanian team with highest standards.

Thomas has a diverse background with over 18 years’ experience in property development. He has worked across the acquisition and delivery of major development projects across residential and commercial projects and has worked within a range of community groups, ‘for profit’ and NFP groups including RSLs, Defence Housing Australia and aged care and church groups.

Thomas is an invaluable member of the Traders In Purple team, understanding that social and community housing projects demand complex and collaborative transactions. He brings his focus and skills in community housing and partnerships as well as building trusting, long-standing relationships across all sectors of the building industry with an integrated and understanding approach.

Accumulating 16 years of experience across the national property market and management consulting, Traders In Purple’s Development Director, Alex Black, has successfully led complex projects in residential, mixed-use, build-to-rent, hotel and commercial asset classes.

Alex has fostered a collaborative approach when working with diverse stakeholders and has developed a deep understanding of distinct dynamics at play in the industry. Her capabilities of managing external and internal stakeholders across different levels provide Alex with a unique set of skills that convey methodical, relationship-lead and successful outcomes.

Her previous work, ranging from Australia’s most prominent corporate and multinational institutions, will continue the successful growth of our present and future Queensland projects.

With an extensive range of project experience and achievements, Susie brings more than 15 years’ of skilled property marketing expertise to the Traders In Purple team.

Susie has been pivotal in crafting strategies for industry-leading developments across both apartments and masterplanned communities.

With a deep understanding of the property cycle from acquisition to completion, Susie prioritises brand integrity, community understanding, and delivering excellence to customers. Her track record, knowledge and commitment make her a valuable member of the team.

Over the years Susie has shaped the marketing for some of Australia’s most significant project launches, displaying the creativity and flair required to succeed in a competitive environment.

Including his innate passion for creating great places, mixed with his extensive property experience, Brad is an infrastructure professional with broad skill sets spanning across development management, project management and construction management.

With his decades of hands-on experience, he proudly supports the Traders national team from the early phases of project feasibility and business case, through project delivery and transaction. Amongst his numerous accolades, Brad has held long-term senior positions within Australia’s leading diversified property groups, including Lendlease, Mirvac and CIMIC. Brad has successfully delivered projects of high complexity across residential, commercial, retail, infrastructure and hospitality.
