Traders In Purple is honoured to have received a commendation in the UDIA NSW for Awards Excellence in Marketing for our Northsea project in Wollongong.

This recognition celebrates the innovative approach and collaborative spirt with partners NSW Land and Housing Corporation and The Housing Trust.

Marketing had to break down the stigma often associated with community housing while also attracting buyers willing to pay up to $2.55 million for an apartment overlooking the Wollongong beachfront with uninterrupted views of the ocean, mountains and district.

A carefully researched strategy was adopted to challenge stereotypes about community housing, beginning with the education of the project and sales teams through a series of workshops and tours.

Traders In Purple drew on the expertise of its project partners, community housing provider Housing Trust and NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC), in the development of collateral that avoided terms such as exclusivity and luxury, instead focusing on community and inclusivity.

Traders In Purple prides itself on being an ethical developer, building luxury waterfront homes while pursuing its belief in a more equitable society through the creation of affordable housing. Northsea exemplifies the values and capability of Traders In Purple in a beautiful and beneficial way.

Developed in partnership with LAHC, Northsea includes 38 private apartments, 10 social housing and six affordable rental apartments. Dual key design optimises the potential to create 18 social dwellings and nine affordable dwellings.
