House tour: an exquisite Sydney home heralding the debut of an exciting new design duo

A statement in craftsmanship, artistry and detail, Traders In Purple Director, George Geagea’s private sanctuary is seen featured in Vogue Living Australia’s Nov/Dec issue. The exquisite home pairs a grandiose 1916 Tudor Revival frame with strikingly modern furnishings and homewares, reflecting his long-held appreciation for exceptional design and standard quality.

Renovated over 16 months in collaboration with Sydney interior studio, We Are Duet, and our trusted partner AJH+ Architects, stand-out moments include the home’s marble inlay floors, oak parquetry and sweeping spiral staircase. A visual embodiment of George’s passion for heritage architecture, crafted interiors and fluid layouts, the residence exemplifies his exceptional design vision across both personal and professional contexts.

“I wanted luxurious and warm, colourful and playful, and each room to tell its own story,” says the owner, and on a practical level, a functional family home that also opened itself up for generous entertaining. While he handled the project management, he gave the duo virtual carte blanche in a 16-month passion project.”
