Construction has commenced at Canvas Bonnyrigg, marking an important milestone in Traders In Purple’s partnership with Homes NSW and the next stage of the Bonnyrigg Estate Renewal Project.
The 210 lot subdivision includes private land lots, 65 social dwellings, and a 9,000sqm park with half basketball court, picnic areas, playground and a bike loop.
Traders In Purple Director Charles Daoud hosted Federal Minister for Housing and Minister for Homelessness Clare O’Neil, HomesNSW’s Peter Brackenreg, St George Community Housing’s Joe Achmar, Housing Australia’s Turi Condon, Bonnyrigg Housing Estate resident Karen Hall, and Gamilaroi Elder Malcolm Clayton at the groundbreaking ceremony, and says the homes will help address the need for housing.
“Traders In Purple’s own history is founded in developing with purpose, building beautiful homes and strong communities where people are proud to live,” says Charles.
“We have named this new precinct Canvas because it is here that people will paint their own story, where they will feel safe, supported and that they belong.
“The success of the Bonnyrigg Renewal demonstrates the critical importance of partnerships between the private sector, community housing organisations and all levels of government.
“Traders In Purple is proud to be one of NSW Government’s most active and trusted property partners.”
“We are within weeks of handing over the first completed homes for social housing tenants and are now pushing ahead to deliver the first stage of the new Canvas Bonnyrigg subdivision, 95 per cent of which has already been sold.”
